Pandemic Influenza Planning Efforts at UGA

Posted in: Campus Planning, Personal Readiness, For Students on Sep 17, 2007 - 10:00:00 AM

Since 2005, representatives from the UGA Office of Security and Emergency Preparedness (OSEP), University Health Center, and UGA Police Department have been involved in pandemic influenza planning in conjunction with local, state, and federal emergency planning and response agencies. The community-wide planning efforts are ongoing. However, the overall ability of the University to respond appropriately to an influenza pandemic will also depend on the readiness of individuals and departments within the University of Georgia to respond appropriately. Therefore, to aid departments in their planning efforts, OSEP has created a Pandemic Influenza Departmental Level Planning Tool in addition to the overall Pandemic Influenza Response Plan (both available below for downloading). Although the plan and departmental level planning tool will continue to evolve as more information becomes available, we encourage departments to begin using these documents for internal planning.
