Campus Emergency Preparedness Resources
Although college campuses are usually safe places, emergencies and disasters do occur. The University of Georgia takes an “all hazards” approach to planning for various types of emergencies (natural disasters, chemical spills, shootings, etc.) that could impact the campus.
Building Safety and Security Representative Links to: Policy, Registration, FAQ, List of BSSRs and Update Information
The University of Georgia recognizes the importance of providing threat assessments, information, training, and resources to promote the safety of all students, faculty, staff, visitors, and security of campus facilities. In order for UGA to provide appropriate and timely safety and security information and response to its distributed campus, each organizational unit must designate a primary safety and security representative for each occupied University building. The Building Safety and Security Representative (BSSR) initiative was put in place to address the process of how this was to be accomplished.
NEW FEATURE - BSSRs can now update their personal and building information. Click on #6 below. (*Note: BSSRs who no longer represent a particular building will need to login (#6 link below) and delete their BSSR information for that building. Also, anyone replacing a BSSR will need to register themselves (link provided in #2 and #3 below) for a particular building.
