UGA will participate in Severe Weather Awareness Week which is scheduled for February 3-9, 2008. UGA will conduct a test of UGAAlert in conjunction with the annual Severe Weather Drill scheduled for Friday, February 8, 2008.
(NOTE: The National Weather Service (NWS) rescheduled the statewide severe weather drill from Wednesday, February 6, 2008 to Friday, February 8, 2008 due to the threat of severe weather in north Georgia for Wednesday)

As a part of the Severe Weather Drill, we will also conduct a test of UGAAlert, the University's Emergency Communication System. The test of UGAAlert will occur at the same time as the Severe Weather Drill on February 6th, 2008.
